What is the difference between industrial wiring harness processing and ordinary electronic wiring harness

Industrial wiring harness processing is very different from ordinary electronic wiring harnesses. Industrial wiring harnesses are usually high currents and require extremely high requirements on the wire. When the alternating current passes through the wire, the current will be concentrated on the surface of the wire, which will increase the resistance of the wire and increase the power loss. This is the skin effect. The higher the frequency of current or voltage change, the more pronounced the skin effect.

In the processing of industrial wiring harnesses, the skin effect is one of the most basic distortion processes in the signal line, and it may also be the most misunderstood. The skin effect will be discontinuous when transmitting high-frequency signals due to the different components of the conductor. Similarly, on the old wire harness conductors, the skin effect promotes the interactive beating of signal currents across multiple wire harnesses, causing a harsh mark on the sound. In order to weaken the skin effect, in high-frequency circuits, multiple strands of mutually insulated thin wires are often woven into bundles to replace thick conductors with the same cross-sectional area. Such multiple strands are called braided wires. Using the skin effect, hollow copper conductors can be replaced with new copper conductors in high-frequency circuits to save copper. Although its resistivity will become larger, it does not affect the transmission performance, and it can also increase the tensile strength of the transmission line.

In the application of industrial wire harness processing, the skin effect can be used for surface hardening of metals. In addition, the skin effect is also one of the methods of electromagnetic shielding. Using the skin effect can prevent high-frequency electromagnetic waves from penetrating into a good conductor and make an electromagnetic shielding device. This is also the reason for the poor mobile phone signal in the elevator.
